Cynthia M. Lewis

Cynthia M. Lewis, 82, of Anna, and formerly of Godfrey, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born on May 1, 1938, in Chicago, the daughter of Rolla and Vivian Larson Medler.  

She attended the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Anna and enjoyed attending Jim Harris’ Sunday School class. She was also a MENSA member. She loved singing in the Bach Society in St. Louis, sewing and bird watching. She also enjoyed time spent with friends.

Survivors include her children, Susan E. (David) Dugan of Edwardsville and Robert (Tammy) Lewis, also of Edwardsville, and Julie Lewis of Anna; grandchildren Ben Lewis of Waukee, Iowa, Sarah (Joe) Martin U.S. Air Force captain of Tucson, Ariz., and Paige (Adam) Murphy of Long Grove, Iowa; great-grandchild Luke Murphy; niece Kathy (Michael) Medler Kunitake of California; and nephew Rollie Medler of Japan.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Medler.

Cremation will be accorded.  A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
