Charlotte Gene Toler
Charlotte Gene Toler, 75, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at her home in Dongola, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1943, in Millstadt, the daughter of Henry and Nora Davis Bryan of Dongola.
On April 29, 1961, she married Jerry Toler of Dongola. Together they had two sons.
She will be remembered as a bright, shining light in the various communities where she lived. To know her, was to love her. Charlotte enjoyed doing hair and nails as a profession and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry; sons Mark Toler and Todd Toler, both of Dongola; three grandsons, Christopher (Kyle) Toler Higdon of Carterville, Michael Toler of Alto Pass and Silas Toler of Cobden; sisters Joyce (Joe) Sullivan, Henrietta (Max) Youngblood, Betty Miller and Sue (Kent) Egner; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by a brother, Butch Bryan; and by a sister, Myrtle Schluter.
Memorial services for Charlotte Gene Toler will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Private inurnment will be held at a later date at the American Legion Cemetery in Dongola.
