Carolyn Moore
Carolyn Moore, 78, of Cobden, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on April 18, 1940, in Jackson County, the daughter of Pearl and Opal Brandon Hagler.
She married Wayne Moore on Aug. 22, 1959, at the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Moore of Cobden; a daughter, Sheryl Rich of Cape Girardeau; sons Rick (Tracie) Moore of Cobden and Greg Moore of Cobden; grandchildren Miranda (Stetson) Smith, Nicole Rich, Shelby (Brandon) Burris, RJ (Fallon) Millis, Sara Millis, Travis Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Sarah Moore, Zach (Ashten) Moore and Justin Moore; great-grandchildren Bentley, Vanessa, Gage and Clayton; sisters Linda McKinstry (special friend, Junior Porch) of Indiana and Martha (Joe) Mayer of Murphysboro; a sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Barb Norton of Alto Pass; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church and played the piano there for many years. She was an amazing cook. All of Carolyn’s grandchildren referred to her as “Mimi.”
Funeral services for Carolyn Moore were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Mark Laster officiating. Interment was in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
