Carol Miller

Carol Miller, 85, of Anna, died on Nov. 5, 2019, at Integrity Healthcare in Anna. 

He was born on Dec. 16, 1933, in Anna, the son of Lester and Cynthia Williams Miller. 

He married Phyllis Sadler on May 9, 1963, in Cairo.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Phyllis Miller of Anna; children Jonathan (Kathy) Miller of Seattle, Wash., Angie Stoner of Cobden, Ron Miller of Anna and Joseph Miller of Granite City; grandchildren Nathan (Jen) Miller, Mathew (Kelley) Miller, Charlie (Sarah) Miller, Dusty (Natalie) Miller, Angel Stoner, Austin Stoner, Drake Miller and Bryce Miller; great-grandchildren Elisabeth Miller, Judah Miller, Norah Miller and Madelyn Miller; siblings Eleanor Clardy of Anna, Ann E. Seliger of Anna, Larry (Jane) Miller of Cobden, Donna Miller of Texas, Cynthia Hall of Anna, Betty (Max) Casey of Buncombe, Janet (Jack) Treece of Marissa and Jim (Rhonda) Brumitt of Jonesboro; other relatives and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joyce Miller; a brother, Gerald Eugene Miller; and brothers-in-law, Jim Clardy, George Seliger and Larry Hall.

He was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church for many years. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting and he loved his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with them.  

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. 

Interment was in Big Creek Cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard military honors team of Marion. 

Memorials can be made to the Anna Heights Baptist Church.
