Carl H. Sims

Carl H. Sims, 83, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Integrity Healthcare in Anna. 

He was born on Sept. 17, 1935, in Cobden, the son of Jewell and Mildred Marie Dixon Sims.

Mr. Sims is survived by his brothers and sisters, Betty Lou Wright of Anna, Patricia Wooden of Granite City, Virginia Halleck of Laural Creek, Va., Harvey Sims of Jonesboro, Judy Sims of Lake City, Fla., and Ralph Sims of Anna; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, T.J. Sims and Karrell Sims; and two sisters, Violia Newbery and Deloris Dover. 

Mr. Sims served in the U.S. Navy. He worked many years as a grounds man with an electrical company.

Services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
