Beth Mae Weiss
Beth Mae Weiss, 84, of Anna, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at her home.
She was born on June 17, 1935, the daughter of Jesse Amuel and Ruth L. Spurlock Rushing.
She is survived by her children, Lawrence Weiss of Anna, Ruby Svejda of Anna, Katrina Svejda of Corpus Christi, Texas, Cleo Ellett of Oconomowoc, Wis., John Svejda of Indiana and Frank Svejda of Texas; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Rushing of Kansas City, Kan.; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by siblings Margaret Verbanic, Kathrine Hill, Peggy Poole, Mary Riley and Russell Rushing, and by an infant sister, Marie Rushing.
She enjoyed flower gardening and music. She was a great cook and she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She came from a very strong Christian background.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The Rev. Paul Sadler will officiate. Interment will be in Casper Cemetery near Anna.
Friends can call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
