Alice Marie Tucker

Alice Marie Tucker, 74, of Jonesboro, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at Mercy Southeast in Cape Girardeau. 

She was born on Oct. 22, 1949, in Anna, the daughter of George Allen and Mary Magdalene Dirden Crowell. 

She married Randall “Randy” Tucker on Aug. 17, 1968, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2023. 

She is survived by her son, Kevin and wife Nicole Tucker of Jonesboro; the apple of her eye grandson, Reed Tucker; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Randy Tucker; and siblings Becky Johnson, Edward “Buzz” Crowell, Wayne Crowell and Carolyn Cates.

She adored spending time with her grandson, Reed, and loved to spoil him. She and her girlfriends would take trips to NASCAR races whenever they had the opportunity. 

She worked for many years with Congressman Jerry Costello as a staff assistant. Earlier in her career she worked in the Union County clerk’s office as deputy clerk and at Anna-Jonesboro Community High School as a teacher’s aide. 

Funeral services for Alice Marie Tucker were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery. 

Memorials can be made to the Jonesboro Fire Department Shop with a Fireman program.
