Adrian Pender

Adrian L. Pender, 82, of Cobden, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at his home. 

He was born on Dec. 1, 1938, in Alto Pass, the son of George R. and Mary Edith Leggans Pender. 

He married Geraldine Raigner on Dec. 22, 1959, in Jonesboro.

Mr. Pender is survived by his wife, Geraldine Pender of Cobden; children Jeffrey (Andrea) Pender of Marion, Myrna Pender of Anna and Adrian “Abe” (Leni) Pender of Broadwell; grandchildren Mike Pender and Nicholas (Kari) Pender; two great-grandchildren; siblings Arty (Louise) Pender of Jonesboro, Helen (Don) Royer of Murphysboro, and Jhan (David) Miller of Anna; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Ryan Pender; siblings Agnes Crowell, Don Pender, Elnora Ditto, Charles Pender, Jimmy Pender, George Pender and Delbert Pender.

Mr. Pender served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, serving in the Vietnam War. He worked as a correctional sergeant at the Vienna Correctional Center.
