Union County offers wide range of ideas for holiday gift giving

Locally First, a committee within Union County Women in Business, commissioned and posted on their Facebook Page a very well received video of Union County in the fall.

The video has been seen by over 9,000 people and shared over 200 times.

The video, filmed and produced by local videographer Marcus Taylor, shows many of the fall scenes and activities that make Union County special.

The video is the first of four seasonal productions.

“These videos will remind everyone of why we love to call this place ‘home,’ as well as the impact that our businesses have on our community,” Union County Women in Business member Evelyn Bailey said.

“During this holiday time of shopping for our loved ones, we would like to remind you to consider all the gifts available in Union County.

“There are so many kinds of items to wrap to put under the tree.

“However, there are also so many experiences to share through gift certificates for a music event, dinner out, lessons or classes of some kind, or ziplining; home improvements like a new dishwasher or she shed; and many services for busy families or the elderly to help with daily life that all would be welcomed as a gift.”

Charlotte Clover, chair of Locally First, added, “Our local businesses, including our larger corporate owned stores, provide so much: in tax dollars, jobs, and support for community and school activities that help create this place we call home.”

Locally First and Union County Women in Business urge everyone to “be creative in your gift giving and your holiday activities.  Sometimes the best things are ‘right under your nose’.”
