Union County election results

Tuesday, April 2, was Election Day in Union County.

Voters cast ballots in municipal, school board and library district elections.

A proposed sales tax increase also was on the ballot.

Here's a look at unofficial election results, which were tallied at the Union County clerk's office in Jonesboro:

City of Anna

For mayor: Steve Hartline 537, Earl Miller 195.

For city councilman: Alfred E. Kamp 264, Bryan S. Miller 414, Kathy Bryan 492, Martha Ann Webb 373, Michelle “Shelly” Glasco-Pearl 328, Quinn Edwards 281, Michael Bigler 374. Four elected.

City of Jonesboro

For alderman, Ward One: Brandi Boyd 65.

For alderman, Ward Two: Beverly K. Schaefer 71.

For alderman, Ward Three: Michael S. Stegle 51.

Village of Alto Pass

For village president: Scott Tripp 33.

For village trustee: Mila Maring 25, Joel Murray 28. Two will be elected.

For village clerk: Kelli Ellis 37.

Village of Cobden

For village trustee: Patrick Brumleve 131, Alma Gomez 90, Louann Elwell 45, Todd Dietterle 111, Larry Hackethal 115. Three elected.

Village of Dongola

For village trustee: Richard Michael 32, John L. Snell 33, Patrick “Joey” Ferguson 46. Three elected.

For village trustee, unexpired two-year term: Donavan Wright 47.

Village of Mill Creek

For village trustee: Loretta Walls 5, Valerie Byrd 3, Jason Stroud 3. Three elected.

Dongola Library District

For library trustee, full six-year term: Amy K. Ulrich 194.

Stinson Memorial Library District

For library trustee, full six-year term: Janet Hunter 1,091, Marilyn Keller 1,311. Two elected.

Regional Boards

For members of the Regional Board of School Trustees, Franklin, Johnson, Massac and Williamson counties, six-year term: Marleis Trover  (Johnson County) 0, Jean Chamness (Franklin County) 0. Two elected.

For members of the Regional Board of School Trustees, Alexander, Jackson, Massac, Pulaski and Union counties: Grant Woodside (Perry County) 1,093, Larry Houston (Alexander County) 1,405. Two  elected.

Lick Creek Community Consolidated School District No. 16

For members of board of education, full four-year term: Boyd Blayne Holshouser 136, Aaron Stover 133, Allen E. Plott 128, Ronald J. Thorn 123. Four elected.

Anna Community Consolidated School District No. 37

For members of the board of education, full four-year term: Grant L. Capel 855, Dave “Sully” Sullivan 680, Tina Waller 746, Craig Dillman 640. Four elected.

Cobden Unit School District No. 17

For members of the board of education, full four-year term: Lisa Tomazzoli 260, Robert Furlow 209, Terra Lyerla 245, Gerald Britt 282. Three elected.
