Shawnee College offers free GED, Hi-SET testing

Shawnee Community College plans to provide preparation classes for the GED and Hi-SET test free of charge to the student. Classes are scheduled starting the week of Aug. 15 in Anna, Cairo, Metropolis and Vienna.

In Anna, classes will be at the SCC Anna Extension Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

In Cairo, classes will be at Cairo High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

In Metropolis, classes will be at the Spence Community Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

In Vienna, classes will be at Vienna High School on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
