Seventh annual Christmas in Downtown Anna event set for Nov. 30.

Local merchants and organizations will be kicking off the holiday season with the seventh annual Christmas in Downtown Anna event.

The celebration will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, in conjunction with Small Business Saturday, a nationwide movement to encourage holiday shoppers to “shop small” and spend some of your gift-buying budget at local businesses and retailers.

Shops and restaurants in the downtown area will be hosting special events throughout the day with extended hours and holiday open houses. 

Santa will be at the Anna-Jonesboro National Bank from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Kitchen on Lafayette, Brick House Grill, Sinisi’s Hotdogs, Jordo’s Pizza and King’s Wok will all be open for lunch.

The Kitchen on Lafayette will be offering a discount to anyone showing a receipt from a downtown Anna business from that day.

The Here and Now Shop is featuring a raffle for a holiday quilt.

Kiki’s CoffeeHouse will have a kid’s craft workshop for writing letters to Santa.

The Davie School Inn and Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church are hosting special vendor and craft fairs. 

Nalee Rae’s Boutique and Home Décor specializes in women’s and children’s clothing, and Doll Baby Boutique also specializes in women’s clothes. 

Jus10’s Frozen Yogurt will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature a pop up booth from Shop Juni Boutique.  

Annabelle Market will be hosting an open house.

Stinson Library will be having a book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Anna Arts Center will be signing people up for the Reindeer Run 5k.

The Shawnee Hills Opry will be performing a pair of holiday shows at Kiki’s CoffeeHouse at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. The early show is sold out but some tickets are still available for the 9 p.m. show.

The VFW Auxiliary will also be hosting their 6th Annual Craft/Vendor Expo at the Anna Jonesboro Community High School from 9 a.m. to 2p.m. featuring 48 crafter and vendors to choose from.

The first annual Anna Holiday Parade will run from Main St. to Davie St. and begin at 5:30 p.m. Volunteers will be in attendance at the parade to collect Angle Tree gifts.

Finally, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held at 6 p.m.
