School pep band festival set at Dongola

The Dongola School Music Department is planning to host a Union County pep band festival on Thursday, today.

The festival is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be in the school’s gymnasium.

Pep bands from Dongola, Cobden and Anna-Jonesboro high schools are scheduled to take turns performing sets from their repertoires. 

Admission for the event will be $2 for adults and $1 for students. T-shirts and concessions will be available for sale. 

Proceeds will go to support the music programs for the three schools.
