Rural Health Inc. awards scholarships to area students
Students from Union County are among the recipients of scholarships awarded by Rural Health Inc., RHI.
RHI, recently honored eight scholarship recipients for 2019.
RHI has clinical facilities in Union, Johnson and Massac counties.
Each year, RHI presents one graduating senior from each high school in the three counties where it has clinical facilities with a $1,000 scholarship to assist the students with college finances while they are working on a health care degree. This was RHI’s fourth year of presenting scholarships.
Scholarship recipients include:
Brittany Deming, Massac County High School; Ashley Detering, Anna-Jonesboro Community High School.
McKenzy Rowan, Dongola High School; Griffin Greer, Joppa High School.
Jaelyn Douglas, Vienna High School; Megan Rhodes, Cobden High School.
Hallie Grenfell, Goreville High School; Chali Phelps, Shawnee High School in Wolf Lake.
