River to River Yard Sale set in Southernmost Illinois

The second River to River Yard Sale is planned July 6-9 in Southernmost Illinois.

The event is set to follow Illinois Route 146 from East Cape Girardeau to Cave-In-Rock.

Residents along this route are invited to clean out attics, basements, closets and storage sheds and offer items they would like to sell. Community-wide yard sales are being planned all along the route.

The organizers suggested that for those who want to have a yard sale, “the best thing to do is contact property owners directly who live along Highway 146.”

Organizers said there is no cost to attend the sales. 

They said to bring cash, because many hosting yard sales won't accept personal checks and aren’t set up to take debit or credit cards.
