Legislative luncheon planned

The Union County Economic Development Corporation and the Union County Chamber of Commerce are planning to host a 2019 legislative luncheon on Friday, Sept. 13.
The luncheon is set for 11:30 a.m. at the Great Boars of Fire, between Anna and Cobden. The event is free and open to the public.
Local business leaders, as well as representatives from both the state and national level, are scheduled to be on hand to speak about their plans for the Southern Illinois business community.
Confirmed guest speakers include State Sen. Dale Fowler, R-Harrisburg; State Sen. Paul Schimpf, R-Waterloo; and State Rep. Terri Bryant, R-Murphysboro,;as well as Wayne and Michelle Sirles from Rendleman Orchards in Alto Pass.
