Karlyn Furry named Peach Festival queen

A new Cobden Peach Festival queen was crowned last Saturday night.

The 2016 queen is Karlyn Furry, 19, of Alto Pass. She is the daughter of Kenny and Lee Furry.

First runner-up in the queen pageant was Kaitlin McWhorter, 18, of Cobden. She is the daughter of Garon and Kim Adams.

Second runner-up was Sara Millis, 18, of Cobden. She is the daughter of Rick and Tracie Moore and Dale and Rhonda Millis.

Jericha Carter, 18, of Anna, was named as Ms. Congeniality. She is the daughter of Thomas and Amanda Carter.

The festival was held Friday and Saturday, with most of the activities taking place at the Cobden Community Park.

The Peach Festival again was sponsored by the Cobden Lions Club.
