Jonesboro School plans to host Family Fun Night

Laser tag, carnival games, bingo, raffles, barbeque, pizza, a bake sale and a silent auction will fill the evening.

Family Fun Night is set for Saturday, Feb. 8, at Jonesboro Elementary School from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A variety of events will be happening for the entire family.

Laser tag, carnival games, bingo, raffles, barbeque, pizza, a bake sale and a silent auction will fill the evening.

Laser tag will be set up in the gym.  Bands can be purchased for $12 for unlimited playing of games, or a ticket to play one game is $2.  Laser tag will run from 5 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Barbecue sandwiches, nachos and pizza will be served and sold in the cafeteria. Bake sale items will be available in the concession stand.

Carnival games will be located on the stage for the young and “young at heart” for 50 cents a ticket. All games are one to two tickets.

One person will win a new hoverboard as a top prize.

The carnival will last from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Lots of prizes can also be won at bingo located in the science room.

Eighth grade students are selling raffle tickets to win a 50-inch Hisense Smart 4K Ultra HD television.  Tickets are still available: one for $5, three tickets for $10 or seven tickets for $20. The drawing will be held at 7:45 p.m. that night. You do not need to be present to win.

Family Fun Night organizers are voicing their appreciation to all of the local businesses which have given donations for the silent auction, which will be from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Other area businesses which would like to donate small items with their logos for bingo prizes or larger items for the silent auction can still do so.

Items can be dropped off at Jonesboro School; or email pturner@jonesboro43.com to arrange for items to be picked up.
