A-JCHS offers Comfort Closet to offer assistance to students
Through the generosity of Anna Walmart and Delta Theta Tau, Anna-Jonesboro Community High School is offering a Comfort Closet for its students. Anna Walmart awarded A-JCHS with a $1,000 Community Grant and Delta Theta Tau made a $200 donation to help A-JCHS start the Comfort Closet.
The school notes that if a student has basic needs that aren’t being met, his or her ability to learn and flourish is compromised. In an effort to make certain that students have adequate nutrition, clothing and cleanliness, A-JCHS will offer the Comfort Closet.
The Comfort Closet will have food, clothes and personal hygiene products available for the students. Students will be able to confidentially inquire about the closet through a request form on the school’s website or physically visit the closet in the health center at the high school. The objective is to offer students access to items that may not be accessible to them when they are away from school.
The Comfort Closet will be stocked with donated items and funded with monetary contributions. For more information about the Comfort Closet or how to make a donation, visit the AJCHS website at www.aj81.net.
