Helicopter flights offered at county fair

Stevens Aircraft Solutions, SAS, is offering a unique opportunity for those who are planning to attend the 2016 Union County Fair in Anna. The fair is underway at the Anna City Park in Anna.

SAS, which is based in Paducah, is offering fairgoers an opportunity to go on a helicopter flight.

The helicopter which will be used for the flights landed early Friday afternoon, Aug. 19, at the Anna City Park. The helicopter is seen in the accompanying photograph.

Flights will be available at a cost of $50 per person, with a two-person minimum; or, one person can fly for $100.

Flights are planned on the weekend from 10 a.m. until dark. On weekdays, flights probably will begin in the afternoon and continue until dark. The availability of flights will depend on the weather.

The flights are scheduled to last for about 10 to 12 minutes.
