Free swim day scheduled July 27 at Anna City Pool

Further details have been announced for a free swim day which is planned Saturday, July 27, at the Anna City Pool.

The event was approved at a July 2 meeting of the Anna City Council. 

The free swim day was proposed by Anna City Council member Michael Bigler as a way to give back to the community.

The free swim day is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 27.

On the day of the event, entry to the pool will be free to all swimmers ages 16 and under.

DJ music will be presented by Mystify Music Service.

Whiffle Boys Pizza will be available at the pool’s concession stand.

Prizes will be given away during the day. Free hot dogs and drinks will be served.

Those who plan to attend are invited to bring a school supply item.

School supplies will be donated to the Shawnee School District to help students and their families who have been impacted by the flood of 2019.

Those who donate school supplies will be entered to win prizes donated by area businesses.
