First Day of No New COVID-19 Cases in the Southern Seven Region

The Southern Seven Health department has reported zero new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven Region as well as two newly recovered cases.

This marks the first day of no new COVID-19 cases being reported since April 1, 2020 when the first case was reported in Southern Illinois.

There have been 103 deaths in the region since the start of the pandemic.

According to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), there were 366 new individuals in Illinois with COVID-19 identified on June 10. This brought the confirmed total in the State to 1,386,628 individuals, with 23,014 deaths.
