Cross of Peace dinners set in Alto Pass, Carterville

Inaugural Cross of Peace dinners are planned during July at two Southern Illinois venues.

The dinners are planned Saturday, July 15, at Hedman Vineyards in Alto Pass and Saturday, July 29, at Walker’s Bluff in Carterville.

The dinners are being held to help support the perpetual care and maintenance of the Cross of Peace, which is located on Bald Knob Mountain near Alto Pass.

Both dinners are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with a social time. A program and dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The cost for each dinner is $100 per person and $150 per couple. A limited number of tickets are available for the event at Hedman Vineyards.

The events are being presented by the funds development committee of the Bald Knob Cross of Peace.

The committee was formed in late 2016 to establish opportunities to raise funds for the Bald Knob Cross of Peace, both in terms of perpetual care and special projects outside of day-to-day-operations.
