Candidates event set

Union County Women in Business, UCWIB, are planning to sponsor a “meet the candidate” event.
The event is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the auditorium at Anna-Jonesboro Community High School.
The event comes just ahead of the Nov. 6 general election in Union County.
The format for the evening will allow all candidates for the county offices of treasurer, clerk and commissioners to introduce themselves and address the public, and to discuss their platform and ideas for how they will contribute to the progress and support of the community.
