Arthur Clinton 'Jack' Poole

Arthur Clinton 'Jack' Poole, 90, of Anna, formally of Mill Creek, passed away March 13, 2019, at Integrity Healthcare in Anna. He was born at home in Mill Creek to Carlos and Aretta Poole. He married Mary Elizabeth James on May 16, 1947. To this union 2 children were born, Jackie “Butch” Poole and Alan Poole.

Arthur is survived by his children, Jackie “Butch” (Joyce) Poole and Alan Poole; grandchildren, Randy (Sherri) Poole, Traci (Matt) Chamness, April (Tim) Merriman, Jeremey (Heather) Poole, Cody (Sarah Rogers) Poole; 8 great grandchildren, Matthew (Parris Noble) Chamness, Brooke Chamness, Clayton Merriman, Jake Merriman, Hannah (Hunter) Summers, Amy Scott, Devin Poole and Ian Poole; 3 great-great grandchildren, Knox Chamness, Gage Sterna  and Hari Scott; brothers, Barry Poole, Bruce (Helen) Poole; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Aretta Poole; wife, Mary Elizabeth Poole; brother, Bonnard Poole, and sister-in-law Carol Poole.

Arthur enjoyed cattle farming, baseball, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019, in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will be in the St. John’s Cemetery in Dongola.

Friends may call after 12 p.m. and until the service hour at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Anna Heights Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
