Anna Arts Center welcomes entries for student art
An art exhibit for students in the 4th grade through seniors in high school is planned Nov. 24 through Dec. 1 at the Shawnee Hills Arts Council’s Anna Arts Center.
Delivery of art work for the exhibit is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 18-19 at the arts center. The arts center is located at 125 W. Davie St. in Anna.
Entry in the exhibit is free. Students can submit a maximum of two original works of art. Any type of art work will be accepted.
Students do not need to be in an art class. Home-schooled students are welcome.
Ribbons for first place, second place and third place will be awarded in each of the following categories: painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, sculpture and fine craft.
A reception for the show is planned from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Las Posadas also is planned on Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. It is free.
