Lick Creek girls improve to 14-1 with recent wins
The Lick Creek School girls’ basketball team won four games in recent action.
Lick Creek 54, Joppa 20: Elle Basler scored 21 points and added 9 assists, 6 steals and 6 rebounds to lead visiting Lick Creek to the win Friday, Dec. 7.
Madison Root added 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Makenzie Chaney had 7 points and 6 rebounds. Morgan Dillow added 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block.
Brooke Miller had 6 points, 3 steals and a rebound. Alivia Miller had 2 points, a steal and a rebound. Bailey Hooks had 2 points and 3 rebounds.
Lick Creek 48, St. Andrew’s (Murphysboro) 14: Basler scored 11 points to lead host Lick Creek to the win Thursday, Dec. 6.
Root added 6 points, Mitchell 5 and Alivia Miller, Dillow, Sydney Heath, Chaney and Hooks had 4 each.
Brooke Miller, Brenley Barringer and Kate Holshouser each scored 2 points.
Lick Creek built a 12-2 first quarter lead and led 27-2 at halftime.
Lick Creek 40, Jonesboro 29: Root led visiting Lick Creek with 15 points, 3 rebounds, an assist and a steal Tuesday, Dec. 4.
Basler added 10 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists. Brooke Miller had 6 points, a rebound, an assist and a steal. Mitchell had 6 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.
Dillow had 3 points, 2 rebounds, an assist and 2 blocks. Hooks had 5 rebounds and an assist.
Lick Creek 36, Anna 23: Brooke Miller had 11 points, 5 steals and 2 rebounds to lead host Lick Creek to the win Monday, Dec. 3.
Basler added 10 points, 6 steals, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks. Denny added 5 points, a rebound and a steal. Root had 4 points, 4 steals, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
Chaney had 4 points and 2 rebounds. Dillow added 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block.
Lick Creek, 14-1, are scheduled to play at Shawnee Monday, Dec. 17.
